It feels impossible these days to buy an album and discover that EVERY SINGLE SONG is perfect. Clever, thoughtful lyrics. Great production. Catchy, catchy melodies. This record is perfection. If I was forced to name my two favorite songs, they would be: “In the Lantern Light” because it is heartbreakingly gorgeous and “Fever” because it is so damn brilliant — every word so carefully chosen. Thank you Toad for writing such a great record!

Having become a Toad fan "late in life" I've found great joy in (re) discovering their music. This Cd "Starting Now' has sooo many wonderful songs.....favorite among them the title track, The Best of Me and Transient Whales. But I seriously LOVE "In the lantern Light" and "Fever" My son grew up in the 90's, so of course, I was familiar with the Toad hits that got FM radio play, but have now become obsessed with finding the old CD's ! (some of which are no longer available) so much great Toad music !

My favorite song is the title track, Starting Now. Their words and sound have struck a chord with me since I first started listening to them. There's something to be said about having people you don't even know feeling the same way, even now. Thanks for keeping it real!

I purchased "Starting Now" because I just bought tickets to see Toad live next month, and I realized I didn't have their latest release yet. I've only had the chance to listen to the CD once, but I love it already. So far my favorite tracks are "Game Day" and "Dual Citizen," but the whole album has that sweet, lush, soul-uplifting, instantly recognizable Toad sound. Thank you so much, and please keep sharing your gifts with the world!

I'd been streaming some of these songs so often I decided I needed my own copy to listen to every day, and now I love playing the album all the way through. My favourites are Fever and Dual Citizen but the whole album is fantastic. So much thought and talent went into every word and musical note here. Toad just keeps getting better with time!

Great CD, worth the purchase. Its best songs (Fever, Lantern Light, Dual Citizen) are just phenomenal. There's nobody out there who makes music like Toad. They're one of the most underrated bands in the history of rock music, and they're definitely my favorite.

The most mature TTWS record to date. The playlist hums with tunes ranging from personal experiences such as loss and love to the longing of things to come. Nearly perfect.

This is quintessential toad and yet it doesn't feel like the other albums. It's more reminiscent of the b-side/mailing list releases. Dual citizen is something else! I can't think other toad songs with that kind of sound. My 7 year old asked me who the singer was when I was listening to it so I'd say something struck him about it.

As usual, this is instantly a Toad classic! “Starting Now “ is just a perfect song! I loved the live stream show!! Please ask your merchandise people to get more 2X tee shirts! God bless you all! Gratefully, James

More great music from a great band! It was cool to hear Glen play a lot of these tracks in his live streams over the last year or so. Great to hear the band's versions on the album, and also to hear several songs live a couple weeks ago at The Birchmere!

CD is amazing from front to back. Always wonderful music from Toad the Wet Sprocket.
